We were all rather sad to see our good friends Sarah and Ismael pack their bags and move out to Dublin a few months ago. Happily enough, they were back in Nice this weekend for a stopover before heading to the Three Valleys for a bit of skiing. Naturally, we took the opportunity to meet up for a meal, to catch up.
We decided to meet up at Il Vino, a nice little wine bad near the Opera, in the old town. Good choice too, they had a good wine selection and excellent food to go with it. The turn-up was pretty good – Naim, Youcef showed up, as well as a bunch of other friends of Sarah and Ismael's.
Great catching up with our friends – seems that Ismael is adjusting rather well to life in Ireland. Well, what's not to like? There's Guinnness, rugby, a good job and a lovely girlfriend! OK, the weather is rather different to what it is in Nice – but hey all that rain is just another great excuse to go the pub, right ? ;) We really must make the effort to go and visit one day – it's been way too long since my last visit to the Emerald Isle!
